So I want to buy a new guitar.
I play rock/pop/contemporary/gospel

I'm not sure which guitar to get:

strat US standard
HSS strat US standard
tele us standard
tele 52 reissue cij

I love the look of the tele, but I'm not sure which one.
I'm getting a Boss-GT-10 to use with it.

I'm willing to pay up to $3000AU 1st or 2nd hand.

Any ideas?
Where to buy from?
P.S. I live in Australia!

Ive heard that HSS strats are pretty damn versatile but IMO a good Tele takes the cake, i'd go for a US Standard Tele

As an owner of an HSS strat, a tele, and an SSS strat, I give this stateent my full backing.

I've got an SSS strat and an american standard tele - I find them both massively versatile, so it's a difficult choice.

I'd certainly take the body style into consideration though - they do feel very different, with the strat's cut aways -v- the solid plank profile of the tele - I don't think either is better or worse - just different.

Good luck in finding what you need - any of those guitars will be just great.

Which state are you in mate? And you know all those guitars will do the sounds you want but you just gotta find the one that sits comfortably with you.

Billy Hydes should have a few of the US fender stuff but I don't any more Victorian based stores off the top of my head.
