Are x86 Operating Systems compatible with x64 machines? Will windows ultimate x86 work on my x64 machine?!!

yes. x86 is another name for 32 bit, and x64 is 64 bit. u can use 32 bit OSs on a 64 bit machine, but u wont be utilizing ur 64 bit machine unless the program ur using can on its own.

heh. x86 doesnt mean 86 bit, its the name of architecture used in 32 bit chips. i guess they simplified it for 64.
