Ok. i've decided to finally do it. I've always wanted to, and i've probably asked about it before, but this time the money is coming good and i have nothing else to spend it on.

I want to get a good rack setup going for my bass rig.

I have an old(80's) compressor/sustainer that I love coming from my lead guitarist for only $75 in good fully working condition.

this one: http://irockman.com/rockman_sustainor.html

I plan on getting a good rack mount tuner so i can easily tune during shows. The amp has a tuner out that is not muted when i push the mute button on my amp so a tuner with a mute switch would be redundant so it's not a requirement...in fact it'd be useless since I'll be running a cable to the tuner and not back into the head. suggestions?

I'm going to be getting a sonic maximizer because I played around with one at a store once and loved what it did for my tone overall. question is, is it really worth it to get the very top of the line one or would the next model down do just fine...i guess i mean do they overcharge for the top of the line model just because it's top of the line or is it really worth the price difference.

in fact if you could tell me what kind of difference there is between the two that'd be great. only thing that jumps out at me is the input and output impedances. how exactly would this effect the sound?

the two models in question.

I want to get a good power conditioner for everything and i want it to be able to power everything i have going here AND a preamp/power amp setup that I might add in the future if i so decide. suggestions?

Also, is there anything else that I might be missing currently that would be nice to have in the setup. I won't be getting a preamp or power amp currently since my bass does just fine and i can DI into the board if something goes wrong with my amp.
