So I've decided my next guitar will be a flying V, with an original floyd rose and preferably two active pickups. My budget is anything under £900

I found two guitars so far that fit this description:

ESP V-401DX

and the

Schecter Hellraiser V-1 FR

But i need more of a choice, so does anyone know any other similar guitars? I'm really into the Alexi guitars, but he uses only one pickup.

Also, how easy is it to change your tuning on a floyd rose system every now and then, as i tend to play in drop c, standard e, and standard b.

Muchos gracias.

It's not hard at all to change your tuning with a floyd rose system. you just undo the locking nuts at the top of the neck, tune, and then tighten them down again. this requires an allen wrench to do so on most locking nuts.

I don't recommend attempting to do this at live performances, since it can take a little while.

Hmm, well i've already got an ibanez rg fixed bridge, so I guess I can use that when needing to change tunings live, but i'm really interested in a floyd rose.

Any more similar guitars to those i've already given?

BC Rich has some nice V's too. You get 81/85 set, mahogany, neck-thru and Original FR for 700eur. or something.

Changing tuning will adjust the string tension making the bridge not flush with the body

Maybe something like this?? http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Jackson-Phil-Demmel-Demmelition-King-V-Electric-Guitar?sku=520333

A little different looking kinda V but it fits your description

And with my experiences with Floyd Roses....your probably gonna want to put it in the tuning you use most and keep it there. To change tunings you have to loosen the locking nuts, re-tune, adjust the springs in the back to keep the bridge level with the body, re-tune again, adjust springs again, and continue doing that until you're in tune and the bridge is level with the body. Or you could get one of these: http://www.tremol-no.com/default.asp Ive been thinking about getting one ive heard they work pretty good
