I'm looking for a new one no more than $550
i play bands like
All That Remains, Alter Bridge, Angels & Airwaves, Atreyu, Audioslave, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Label Society, Blink-182, Blue Oyster Cult, Breaking Benjamin, Bullet For My Valentine, Dethklok, Disturbed, Eric Clapton, Escape The Fate, Escape The Fate, Godsmack, Guns n' Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Megadeth, Metallica, Motley Crue, My Chemical Romance, Nightwish, Ozzy, Paramore, Rob Zombie, Shinedown Sixx AM, Three Days Grace, Trivium

So what would be something to look at so i an try it out at Guitar Center or the local shop just down the road

The amp I'm getting is a Vox Valvetronix 30 watt

EDIT:
oh, and nothing with a locking trem as i obviously will be changing my tuning allot

thats quite a range of artists,
guitars i would look at:
(NO fenders)
epi les pual standards
ibanez js
epi sg
my knoloage of guitars is rother limited beyond that

i put a js on there becuse you can get it on ebay for less than 550

well with that amp, id stick with something with passive pickups. prs se, epiphone lp with duncans, one of the various schecter/esp models with duncans. go to those companies websites, look around, see what you like, go to a music store, try em out, decide.

give those a try. try out some ESP/LTD. just go to guitar center and play whatever there. see what has the things you r looking for, and you like the feel of it.

An Ibanez of a sort.

Vox Valvetronix are great modeling amps by the way. I have one and enjoy it.
