I've been playing around with sweep picking for a couple of months now. I have noticed one major problem - it sounds right with overdrive or distortion, but when I play with a totally clean tone, I sometimes have a sort of jerky sound to my sweeps, especially on 3-string ones. I realize this is probably due to overdrive and distortion compressing the sound somewhat. Thus, I would like to know if anyone has some tips regarding how to fix my technique. Thanks guys!
practice on clean slowly until you can get it down fast.
