I've been playing for a little over a year, and my fingers haven't even callused yet, though when I play for prolonged periods(2-3 hours over a day) my fingers won't hurt at all. Do I have some super fingers or something?

I burn my finger tips with matches just to test it...i've gone 3 seconds before it started to hurt

tl ; dr : burn fingers, that's the real test

LOL thats what she said

but seriously now. I was always worried i didnt have calluses either, but when a firend of mine had the same wierd problem I figured out some people for some reason just get far tougher skin rather than actual calluses. Try poking ur other finger tip with a needle, then do the same on your ''guitar hand''.

When I play for a loooong time, I sometimes develop small callouses. Then, they usually rip or peel off and the skin on my fingertips just stay... tougher.

All said and done, you probably wouldn't know I play guitar haha.
