Swap out the Line 6 for a used 5150 combo and buy an OD.
TO ALL MY KILLERS AND MY HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLERS...
...TO EMO KIDS THAT GOT TOO MANY FEELINGS

Don't get that Dean and look into ESP/Jackson/Ibanez/Schecter. That Dean you're getting is overpriced and IMO feels terrible.

As for the amp, get a used Peavey 5150/XXX/Ultra.

which tube amp would you recommend? im kind of in a budget i guess oh and why not line 6?

if yu can't get used stuff for ome reason, get a B52 AT-112.

I see you are a 09'er, so that means you're most probably new to guitar.
1.- u dont need a halfstack to sound better.
2.- metal shape =/= metal sound
3.- more watts =/= more distortion or better sound. just more volume
4.- 15w tube amps are enought for a small gig. you dont need a 4x12 behind you.

just get a decent tube amp with good distortion (B52 at112) and a decent guitar (the dean is fine, but yu could do MUCH better for that much money)

EDIT: why not line 6? it's not about the company, just about some pedals and the spiders. they are too digital, and sh*tty overal. they are overpriced too.

as for the amp, the B52 is about $450, which is about the same as the halfstack you want to get. Used 5150 can go from about $500 to $800, but there are extremely rare cases when you can find them at $350 or something.

you could get a better guitar IMO. try these at any guitar store:
Ibanez RG with fixed bridge or ART, like:

ESP LTD X-100 series. Or used 200. like:

AXL guitars. theya re all cheap but better than what you would expect.

Jackson JS

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Jackson-JS30WR-Warrior-Electric-Guitar?sku=520305
Schecters. a lot of people would kill to protect theirs. some other people dont like the necks

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Schecter-Damien-Special-Electric-Guitar?sku=515744
Epiphone G-400 or Les Paul studio/standard. they are fine. the LPs are a bit overpriced but still decent in their range
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphone-SG-Standard-S.O.R-Electric-Guitar?sku=512455
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphone-G400-SG-Electric-Guitar?sku=518291

tips: -dont get something online that you haven't previously played. sellers always say good stuff so that may convince you but make up an opinion by yourself before buying. Play a lot of guitars and brands.
-Avoid getting a flashy guitar (in doby or paintjob) because they are usually more expensive but with the same componentes and necks from other models you can find a few bucks below. Best example, the dean DIME models
-Dont get a signature model. theya re overpriced and they wont give you better fingers or the artist's tone

The Line 6 you picked is a terrible amp. It sounds really digital and much worse when cranked then other SS amps. Other Line 6's like the Flextone, HD147 and Vetta are good though.

Read the other posts for a good tube amp. You will have to go used.

hmm i see..are there any other alternatives for a tube amp? im just not quite fond of them

why? is there an exact reason? if you say too complicated, i'm ready to rant.

you're not gonna want to take a dump in a gross, off-colored, vintage toilet. you want something that is white and pearly; something that shines. something that you can put your cheeks against and say, "f*** yeah"
