I plan on doing a gig at school when my new guitar (currently in construction) is completed. I've selected a few songs for the set but I'm looking for others to consider as well, so that's where you come in!

The set I've already compiled is:

The Night Watch - King Crimson (guitar and vocal)
21st Century Schizoid Man - King Crimson (guitar and vocal)
Overture & Aria De Mezzo Carattere - Nobuo Uematsu (guitar)
The Girl Who Stole The Stars - Yasunori Mitsuda (guitar)

Preferred tuning is standard.

Usually any genre is welcome, but my most enjoyable would be along the lines of prog, jazz fusion, blues.

How bout some Hendrix? Dolly Dagger is good one. Also, Machine Gun & Voodoo Chile (It's actually "Chile", but most people spell it "Child" ) are nice, gritty blues rock. Make sure you really groove those tunes. Jimi was kinda loose with his 8ths, usually a loose swing rhythm.

I've been considering Hendrix, my main concern is time restrictions. I might save Hendrix for a later performance

Also, Voodoo Chile is usually the 14 minute jam whilst Voodoo Child (Slight Return) is the last track of Electric Ladyland if I remember correctly.
