what are some good acoustic songs to play?
not just strumming chords the whole time though.
some really crazy or beautiful instrumentals with some fingerpicking and/or any other innovative pretty styles of strumming/picking.

i love to play acoustic songs such as Requiem by Opeth, or Metallica's Nothing Else Matters, or Blackbird by the Beatles, or Voice of the Soul by Death
any songs similar to those would be awesome. or they dont have to be similar to those songs at all aha
so give me your opinion on what a nice song to learn is!
i am completely willing and open-minded to all suggestions and new bands:]

i like songs by the winterpills, they have some pretty acoustics. also, if you want crazy acoustics, try some rodrigo y gabriela (although, they are NOTHING like what you have stated).
My Gear:
Gibson Faded Flying V
"Dante's Inferno" Iceman
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112
etc.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

Ok, I was almost dying from the lack of Tommy Emmanuel on there. In my experience, most of the more ridiculous acoustic stuff is on youtube, so lemme link you a few things....

And then more Tommy Emmanuel cause, in my opinion, he's the best guitarist today...
