Good. Now that I have your attention, I need your help to find the right amp for me. Ideally I'm trying to find an amp that has an overall Alice in Chains/Mastodon type sound. 2+ channel amps are prefered, but of course 1 channel amps are never ruled out. I dot care if I buy new or used. My ideal price range would be between $1000-2000ish, but seeing as I have a job, I'm willing to save up to almost amy amount, so don't let budget be a large factor.

Thanks in advance.

- Dunlop Classic Crybaby

Mastodon use boosted JCM 800s for most of their sounds. Look into that.

[quote="'[BurnTheDusk"]']Boss pedals may be built like tanks but I would rather buy a cardboard box that is on my side than pay for a tank that is working against me.

By any chance do you know what they use to boost it?

This

I know bill uses some sort of ibanez overdrive, but not a ts9. Go onto uberproaudio and it should tell you.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

I'd be pushing for a Marshall Jcm800 2204, never played the ibanez tubeking... haven't really heard anything about it either, regardless, a modded TS-808 boosting the front end would get you that tone exactly
Guitars:
Gibson Les Paul Standard
Gibson Explorer New Century
Gibson RD Artist
Fender American Standard Telecaster

Amps:

Framus Cobra
Marshall JCM800 2203 - 1960A

Pedals:

As for the swim team member that drowned, it just means the swim team just got a lot better. Same with him too, it's time to move on, the weakest link is gone...
