It was awesome. I had some friends over and we made a night out of it. I saw them in Chicago and it was great to be able to relax and watch the show and not be exhausted from 13 hours in the Illinois sun!
I (still, after everything) believe in Billy Corgan.

I'm not even much of a U2 fan...

But they put on a great show.

And how cool is that stage and the whole setup?

Great performers, I was impressed.

I watched it. It was the first time I've heard any of the new stuff, and I have to say, it was very hit or miss. The old standards sounded good though, and by that I mean they were played well. The sound was pretty lackluster for a lot of the broadcast.

Step 1: Buy a Gibson SG
Step 2: Insert Green Ringer, EQ, 3 dead squirrels and a microwave into said SG
Step 3: Plug in and freak the **** out.

U2 are far too well known, Rory Gallagher is/was a much better artist.

I didn't see it, but when I get a chance, I'll check it out.

I tuned in just as the concert started. I thought I'd give them another shot. But right as the lights dimmed and Bono started singing the shot that i was going to give them was clearly blown. I dont know if Bono was sick that day but whenever he would try to reach a higher pitch, he would move away from the mic. Im not trying to start an epic U2 hate thread but I wtached the youtube concert and i dont think Bono performed well. The rest of the band was great though.

It was really an incredible show.
98% of people have read that stupid 98% teens and alcohol sig, put this in your sig if you like getting hammered.

Thats it.

I watched it. It started to get repetitive after a little over an hour, though.

I didn't watch it, I'm not much of a U2 fan though. After more than 3 songs or so it all starts to blend together to me. That and Bono oozes ego

What on earth is that contraption? You've got to hand it to them, they know how to make a spectacle.

I kind of agree... But if I could get 85,000 people to pay to see me in concert, and have over 10 million people watch it online, I'd have a lot bigger ego than he has.

"Hello Bono, I hear U2 has a new album out"
"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't listening because I was too busy saving African children from disease."
"Oh, alright. How's the tour going?"
"My bad. I missed that due to my excessive African saving"

^Check the recommendation thread. Their first release was in 1980, and as such, they are considered CR.

I don't why I'm defending him... as I don't even like him or the band really...

But what part of saving African children from disease is a bad thing lol?

I saw a bit of U2b, it was pretty good. I saw them live once (about '94) in Toronto and they sucked bad though, never really liked them since.
