Need something High gain for proper metal, and nice cleans, for stuff like Metallica.

Not really into the Blackstar HT5.. And I live in the UK, so I would havee got a B-52, but yknow, shipping is expensive etc. etc.

If you can hold on til the first week of December.

You can get the Peavey 6505+ 112 from GAK.

I've been told the price is expected to be £399.

If not, there's always the Bugera 6262-212 combo for £369. (GAK)

No one really knows much about those Jet City amplifiers, yet. I wouldn't suggest getting something so unknown, personally. Even if it's designed by Soldano, it may turn out to be crap.

The Bugera 6262 is something to look into, actually. I forgot about that one. Good call, WOWdoritos.

Sigged.

On topic: Personally, I'd wait til December and pick up the new Peavey 6505+ 112 combo from GAK.

Other than that, AngryGoldfish has covered the better affordable metal amps.

Where did you hear that about the 6505+ 112?

Jackolas, I emailed GAK directly and one of there sales team, Mingus Cornish, replied with the following:

Hi, many thanks for your email.

This item is due in to stock in the first week of December. It is expected to be priced around £399.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.

Many thanks

I was planning on making a thread pretty much the same as this, and if the 6505+ is £399 It would be great. But if it sounds anything like my Vpyr's version of it, i'll pass.
