Hey Guys,
I've just purchased a 04 Epiphone SG Special and it has had a hard life and is very worn and scratched. Is it possible to get hold of paint to match the original Cherry finish so that it can be re-painted??

Also I am looking for some new pick-ups for the guitar - Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

sg specials aren't really worth putting good pups in because they are so cheap...and about the paint it will cost you a lot to have it done. i wanted to paint my strat and the cheapest quote i got was $150 (canadian)

Absolutely!!! Refinishing a guitar is very satisfying. Since you'll have to remove all the hardware and PUs, it'll teach you how to de-solder/solder and set-up/re-intonate your axe!

Check out the various PU manufacturers' websites and listen to the clips. Through a nice amp, you can make that baby slay. Heck, through a nice amp, even a plywood guitar can be made to sound nice.

Good Luck!
