I've been playing on a fender squier acoustic for a while and i think im good enough to upgrade my guitar. right now ive got around $170, but with christmas around the corner, i wanna be prepared. leave a link to a good sounding acoustic for under $400 at the most? thanks

maybe like a fender acoustic? the cd140 in either acoustic or electro acoustic....that's what i'm getting for christmasXD that's like £175 in UK. Probz around $250 in USA. you might even be able to stretch $400 to a niiceee Taylor :P
Any phrase followed by the word "FACT!" makes it more true that it already is.

it's highly unlikely you'll get a Taylor for that ammount - sadly enough :P

Look at the Jim Deacon Acoustic guitars, there not bad at all.

Are you getting steel string or nylon?

if you want quality, a cutaway is not possible unless you go used - and probably not even then. these following guitars are all solid top with good construction or finish and i've played a bunch of all of them:

you could get a seagull original s6
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Seagull-The-Original-S6-Acoustic-Guitar?sku=512120
or seagull entourage s6
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Seagull-?sku=512366
or mini jumbo
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Seagull-Entourage-Mini-Jumbo-Acoustic-Guitar?sku=516907

seagulls are great guitars with good sound and build quality. so is the yamaha fg730s
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Yamaha-FG730S-Solid-Top-Acoustic-Guitar?sku=519049

also here's a guitar i haven't played, but some very good players have great things to say, and the big advantage of this is it's all solid
http://www.instrumentalley.com/Recording-King-RD-26-Classic-Series-II-Guitar-p/rd-26.htm
never seen any complaints, and i'd say this is one of the best deals in guitars.
