That's not why I play bass, I play it because I love the sound, the rumble, and the fact that I can look out into the audience once in a while.

But I'm curious as to why girls don't like bassists.
#3
Maybe cuz they are not a showoff like the guitarist/drummer/singer?

Paul McCartney- No problems for him with the birds
Nikki Sixx-Needs no explaining

it's because most guitarists use a pick and therefore have one silky soft pleasure hand at their disposal, if you know what I mean, and girls know this. Unfortunately very women are aware of the fact that some bassists actually use picks!

We need to raise awareness!!!

Trent Reznor is actually from my hometown of Mercer, PA. I saw him in a restaurant by our outlet malls about 5 years ago. come to find out, he actually knew, and grew up with my senior year history teacher.

Coos stuff.

Partly, but it's confidence that maintains their attraction.

Just ask Roger Waters.

Actually I find bass playing guys and drummers rather engaging and fun to be around. Bass players tend to be a bit more complex than most of the guitarists I know.

And I <3 Les Claypool, who honestly has a rather unconventional look.

A lot of the girls I know actually prefer bassists over guitarists and singers simply because we don't seem as cocky and attention-starved as said guitarists/singers. My pal (also a bassist) and I have never had trouble, although that might just be our smashing good looks
