Alright so about mid august last summer i started a project... A frankenstrat i guess? so i had this old and ugly GFX laying around and i decided to take it apart and to rebuild it into something playable...

this is look similar to the guitar before modification.

i needed a guitar with a good non active humbucker that without having too much output would still kick some major ass.

so we changed the bridge Humbucker for a Suhr DSH at 13k ohm.
we painted the body with pearlescent paint (change from Dark Green to Dark Purple)
we blocked the tremolo.
Redid All the Electronic with quality potentiometer.
Changed the tuner for some Grover 18-1.
took out the middle pick up to make it a kill switch.
Changed the original plastic nuts for a black graphite one.
painted the head Glossy white.
changed the original button for some black one.

tryed to show you the color difference but the flash was only showing green

http://img249.imageshack.us/i/picture004j.jpg/

the whole body

decided to show my guitar collection cuz i feel like it.

hope you like

feel free to comment!

Your guitar is pretty meh to me, I'm more into vintage looks, like sunbursts and whatnot, great looking guitar nonetheless.

P.S.: Your Telecaster is sexy.

But Tele are one of the most versatile guitar ever made IMO.

Looks nice, good on you for going the modding route rather than throwing money at a new guitar like so many people do.

Also, tip: for photographing chameleon finishes, don't use any form of flash - be it strobe, fill, whatever. Strong directed light like that defeats a lot of the effect. The best way to photograph it is with even, diffused light, such as outdoors in the afternoon with a very cloudy sky (the cheap and eays way), or for indoors you can do things such as placing some tissue paper over the flash to soften it.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

Good stuff man, good stuff.

Not any Hail To Thief, but the Vinyl Version, even more BA good to see that someone noticed it :p.

and thanks for the pearlescent trick... its way to dark in here to take a picture without a flash. but the tissue is a good idea.

yeah talk about doll... just a guitar that used to suck totally revamped with some badass component and custom Paint... Please do me a favor. Either you go out and try an Suhr boutique pick up and tell me about this guitar being doll or you start clicking only on NGD thread with either Shecter C-1, Gibson Les Paul Studio or Fender Stratocaster in the title... cuz we all know those arent doll at all...

I agree with everyone about the Tele, very nice. I personally prefer Strats, but Teles are nice

There's so much hate on bass because guitarists don't know how important the bass really is.

Like honestly, try doing a live show without one.

Of course i haven't played it though... lol

well done its nice!

Shecter Hellraiser diamond serie. (with two missing knobs , because i threw it on the ground once and two broke... at least the pot are perfectly fine)

agree, bass line is like the soul of the song imo... you have to listen well to hear it but a song really is not the same without it.

For starters, since it was requested, this is a picture of my cello.

Secondly, I admit Red is unoriginal, but Sasha is an original name. Naming your instruments is not uncommon.

I need to have the cello re-setup, and the fretboard re-smoothed, since the humidity change from winter to summer screwed it up.
