Okay, so I had a Yamaha EG 112C. It was pretty much broken, so i decided to take it apart, and strip it down, clean it, and hopefully upgrade the pickups/etc. so I can make it sound alot better. here are some pictures of what I've done so far...

---------------
Removed STrings
Removed pickguard along w/ all pickups. selector switch, tone knobs/ etc.

WHAT I'm Left with
Neck attatched to body, the thing at the bottom that you put the strings in...not sure what its called, this iis my first real time taking a guitar apart.
----------------------------------------

Okay, so what do i need to start doing now to try and get it back up and running and better than before. What are some good cheaper pickups(don't want expensive ones for my first build because I don't want to screw em' up ) Thanks! Pics to come once i get them uploaded.

the thing at the bottom is called the bridge. if u want some decent cheap pickups, look up GFS pickups.

No I'm not Jesus. I would aspire to be though. I think under circumstances he would let you pay less if you needed to.

Ok,so instead of leaving anything in it, i just stripped it down, now all i have iss the body, and the neck, took everything else out of it. Where should i start as far as what i need to buy to put er' back together. It is a strat knock-off, but the fret board is really smooth, so i def. want to keep the neck. thanks!

So you're left with the bridge, the neck, the body, the nut, and the tuners? The jack maybe?

Cheap decent pickups can be bought at guitarfetish.com and guitarheads.com ... Pickups are hard to screw up. Plus, this isn't a build just a refurbish/upgrade.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Make sure to take the neck off and tape off the cavity before you do any painting.
