Oi,

I'm looking for a good 7 string guitar. I like playing in retarded tunings such as B and lower, and I hate having to tune a 6 string down so far. Also it would be great to have a second guitar for alternate tunings.

I play alot of metal, so it would mainly be used for that. I play music like Cannibal Corpse, Metallica, Death, Burzum, etc. Anything heavy really.

I have a Peavey JSX half-stack, if it matters.
My budget is about 750$ (CND).

Maybe something with active pickups, seeing as how my primary guitar (Gibson Explorer) is set up with passives. But it doesn't need to have active's if there is something better in a passive pickup.

Any help is much appreciated.

Take a look at Agile Inceptors.
AK-47. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherfucker in the room, accept no substitutes.

It's comical because you are clearly an average to below-average bear.

What kind of bridge would you prefer?

I would like to have a trem, but it's not mandatory.

Just how low do you tune? If it's like A standard or something you'd probably want a guitar with a 27" scale length. Which Ibanez doesn't seem to do. I think there's a schecter with 26" and there's this http://www.rondomusic.com/interceptorpro727protrigreenmn.html

Lowest I tune to is G.

That Agile looks bloody sweet though. I'm going to have to try one.

Get a gibson 7 string explorer, just so you have two :L

That would be sweet, but I'm sure that would cost me an arm and a leg. XD

This, Schecter, or Carvin.

Unless you spend most of your time pleasuring the trem though, it's probably not worth getting a 7 with one.

if you change tunings a lot I'd get a non trem guitar unless you plan on keeping this guitar in a specific tuning

That's true. I would probably change it tunings too much. So in this case a non-trem would make more sense.
