I'm playing through a Bugera 333 head with a Marshall JCM 900 lead 1960 series cab. I currently have 4 6L6 tubes in my amps, but I'm not too impressed with them. I was thinking about switching to EL34's, but I don't what the difference in brands is. Is there a difference in the brands (i.e. sound, reliability, quality), and if so what is a good brand of EL34's to get?

JJ EL34s are the best you can get. I also suggest you try JJ 6L6GCs. Thats what i have in my 50/50.

TS: There is a difference from brand to brand tonally. One brand may be a slight bit warmer than the another or a tad more harsh, etc.

Its all about what you prefer - you'll just have to try brands to see which you like the best (which is sad because tubes can be pretty costly).
