Hi all,
Apologies in advance if this has been discussed before. I have a Peavey classic 30, and thought it would be best to use my MFX rp500 and other stompboxes in the FX loop. However, when I switch any of them on, there is a tremendous drop in volume.

Is this normal? Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks in advance.

never heard of a problem with the loop itself. if i had to take a guess, i'd say it's some of your patches programmed into the multi, or perhaps the levels of your other stomp boxes in your loop. there's a chance it could be your buffers... but unless you're running an uber ton of pedals, i don't see that being the problem.

You need to adjust the levels on the RP500 until it's balanced. Your analog output goes up to +10db so it's plenty capable of being loud enough. The levels in the Classic 30 loop are higher than your typical guitar signal so you need to adjust the levels in your multifx to match.

I'm really not familiar with the C30 so forgive my ignorance but does it have a volume control for the FX loop? Some amps do, some amps don't.
