Hi All -

I just finished assembly on my strat project but have run into an issue with the EMG-SV active pup set. For some reason I can get a signal to a digital tuner but no sound when plugged into the amp? Any thoughts?

Could the two grounds be mixed on the ring, tip and sleeve stereo jack?

Thanks, Rob

Does your tuner have a mic? If it does, then the whole wiring could be screwed. Your best bet is to open it up, take a look around and compare it to a schematic. Maybe post some pics here or something? I don't know if I'd be able to help, but others may be able to.

It's FIXED!!! Man I'm seriously happy it finally works now. Sounds sweet too.

It turns out I just had the two ground wires mixed on the stereo jack. They aren't labeled and I could not really tell by the top view in the schematic.

Hey how to you post pictures in here? Is there an easier way than posting the image online somewhere then <img src=URL>?

Wow, nice dude That's a cool guitar, what is it? Also, congrats on getting the pups to make noise. How do they sound?

I bought the alder body and birdseye maple-Ebony fretboard neck from Warmoth.

The pups sound nice, they have been sitting on a shelf for 10 years so it's nice to actually put them to use. I basically tried to make something to sound like AIC/Jerry Cantrel.

It's strange playing single coils. I'll need to mess around with my line 6 a bit to dial it in.
