I don't think so, I really like Wilshires, so they got my vote as the nicest Epi.

+1

I have a wilshire and a coronet, both awesome, and both with kahlers!

I think it would be better with a pickguard, and a control on the upper cutaway, just for kicks. It looks kinda 'boring' if that's the right word, although I bet it's a dream to play. Seriously, Bigsbys are the best trems ever.

It's pretty good, but that tremolo bar is retarded.

I respect and value your opinion.

Just kidding. You're a fucking retard.

Good, but not my thing. I actually think it's a really good guitar, but I couldn't make good use of it.

I think the Wilshires are awesome, as is the tribute Les Paul, although it's really expensive.

I'd say maybe not the best ever, but maybe the best in the last ten years.

I do like it. But I find these both sexier;

Particularly the Lucille. Black + gold hardware + varitone + fine tuners =

That new elitist country gentleman definitely takes the cake, much nicer than the swingster.

New elitist? Didn't they stop making the elitist series a couple of years ago?

Nah thats pretty ugly imo. There are loads better. I really like the wildkat, the casino, and of course my 02/94 Epi les paul custom with dimarzio paf pro/Sd3 in black.

yeah probably. Or the circuits.

It doesn't do too much for me. I'd rather have a Casino.

Epiphone does Gretsch?
It doesn't look bad, I'll admit. But the nicest Epiphones were the Elitists; they stopped making those because they were damaging sales of lower end Gibsons - they were better!

This, the Chet sig, the Lucille, and the Sheraton are the best Epis ever. I'm eager to try one of these though.

Just in response, the country gentleman was a guitar made by gibson, after chet stopped endorsing gretsch gibson offered him to make whatever he wanted so he switched and they made the country gentleman, which is rather similar to a gretsch but not quiet.

Yeah, I didn't know the details but I figured it would be something similar.

All I'm really saying is that I think that vibe is just exemplified by Gretsch.

That said, I've never tried a Gibson Chet Atkins - this Epi might be one to try!

GTFO my EG

The Lucille is really nice. What does the "varitone" do? Is it just a glorified tone knob?

The Swingster... I'm shocked no one has said this...

It's got Grestch G5122 written all over it. Just saying. JUST SAYING.

I'd rather have the Grestch G5122 over the Epi Swingster....
