Hey everyone, I'm doing an essay on The Scarlet Letter, and I was wondering if any Christians or Catholics would know if the sin of concealing a sin is worse then the sin itself, (the actual sin being sex and procreation without being married).

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I mean the way a church would see it, not the mental perspective.
Poop.

Yes, poop.

I'm pretty sure masturbating over a picture of Jesus is much worse than any of those.
If it were socially acceptable, I would drape myself in velvet.

No. Now if they were witholding it in the sacrament of confession that's also a sin, but I'm pretty sure it's not the same as adultery.

I went to catholic school for a long time so I know this kind of stuff.

Well, according to the teachings of the church, Sin is what we have for disobeying the rules the first time, and Sin is always going to come back to destroy our lives no matter how many times we get rid of it. They teach us that we can resolve Sin itself by atoning for our past, but we've been doing that for literally centuries and centuries, and I think everyone is getting tired of the routine of destorying Sin and watching it come back.

In order to destroy Sin itself, we must go beyond the teachings. We must destroy Jechts soul within Sin and then destroy that which rebirths Sin, Yu Yevon.
