im newbie to this topic,haven`t changed the strings yet,but its to the point that i have to,so i wanted to know what string thickness (mm) should i get to get the tone i like,its a deep bassy tone,groovy,kinda reggae,hope u understand what i mean,well i just wanted to know how thick should i get them,sorry for my english

String gauges are normally measure in inches. Even in places that use the metric system. As said before. 0.105"- 0.045" should be fine for a 4 string.

You should also consider using flatwound strings if you haven't already. They would help get the tone you're looking for, methinks.
