Alright. My mistake. I thought you were asking about the guitar overall. Should have asked "Will the pickups be good for metal?"

The Tone Zone is a fine metal pickup. Really thick rhythm tones can be had, but the lead tones are where it really shines. There's a little tone-test clip in my pro if you wanna hear one in action (it's not the greatest recording, but it'll give you an idea of it's chug-chug capabilities)
- Gibson Flying V 120 #1 (White)
- Gibson Flying V 120 #2 (Cherry)
- Gibson SG Standard ('61 style)
- Jackson DK2M

- ENGL Fireball 60
- Avatar 4x12

- Many pedals, plus other stuff

tone zones are designed to be extremely thick and solve any problems with thin buzzy-ness. they can be very good for metal if used right, and you should be able to get pretty brutal tone with that guitar and amp

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
