I'm kinda confused after reading someone talk about it. What kind of tone change do you experience if you get 500 k tone pots? What does that mean? I'm a noob when it comes to guitar electronics.
Fender Jaguar -> Polytune -> Diamond Compressor -> Timmy -> OCD -> Big Muff -> Line 6 M9 -> Sonomatic Cheddar -> Spark boost -> Fender BDRI

At maximum resistance, a pot used in the tone control has the capacitor nearly out of the circuit. So the cap has very little effect on the tone. More resistance means even less cutting of the highs when the knob is at 10

At minimum resistance, the pot has the tone cap connected directly from the hot to ground. This is the heavy tone cut when the knob is at 0.
Regardless of the maximum value of the pot, both will reach zero.
Full cut will still be full cut.
