I was looking through the ESP custom guitar gallery and noticed that a lot of the guitars have two battery cavity's and i wanted to know how to do wire two batteries to a set of EMG's. What is the benefit is to this?

Granted. But you have to endure support by the Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers and a steaming turd.

1. Death
2. Children Of Bodom
3. Metallica
4. Megadeth
5. Pantera
6. Cannibal Corpse

Actually, they wire them in series to increase the voltage form 9 to 18V, which gives you more headroom and a less compressed sound.

Searchbar: "18 volt mod"

For the 18V mod, wire in SERIES.

For twice the battery live, wire in parallel.

At 18V, they tend to sound a little less compressed, more organic, and have more headroom before breaking up.

Wire in parallel to change the current, series to change the voltage.
