I searched the bar and I'm shocked to see that there isn't a thread about this legend. Feel free to discuss his solo project and various other projects/bands he has been a part of.
I haven't heard his solo album, is it worth checking out?

I've been meaning to check out some of his stuff for awhile.
His band with Scott Kelly is pretty awesome though, I just heard them they other day.

Shrinebuilder? I've been meaning to check em out.

The solos on The Obsessed-Lunar Womb are so wicked. He was on my fave St.Vitus album as well.People need to learn to respect and cherish Wino. He is a god!

Probably the most influential in doom metal after the Sabs.

What's everyone's opinion on The Obsessed here? I've heard the s/t and The Church Within, and both sounded like total ass to me (the latter moreso than the former), tbh, and I'm a pretty big doom fanatic. Is Lunar Womb any better/worth checking out?

I found it randomly at a second-hand record store

These don't sound like very good ambitions when driving...Judas Priest makes people want to go 200 mph, and Realm of Chaos is now an album for ramming shit. You are dangerous, dangerous people.

Love Spirit Caravan, and getting into the Hidden Hand as well. Just can't beat that opening riff on Dreamwheel

And I nearly forgot to mention, but am I the only one that finds that screaming leads at the start of The Departure the Les Paul tone?

I know his albums with Saint Vitus and Lunar Womb + The Church Within. I love all of it and I'm looking forward to hear more of his work... up next is prolly The Obsessed's debut and the Shrinebuilder album.
If I took this cigarette and put it out on you...

...would you love me?

Shrinebuilder needs more love. It's Wino + Scott Kelly and Al goddamned Cisneros, that alone deserves universal fellation from the metal forum.

My favourite Wino bands so far are shrinebuilder and Spirit caravan. I haven't really checkout saint Vitus and the hidden hand yet.

EDIT: Nevermind I misread, I thought you were looking for Vitus with Wino. My bad.

I am totally gay for Wino ever since hearing Born Too Late a couple of weeks ago. It's a serious issue and effecting every aspect of my life.

Am I the only one who dislikes Born too Late? I mean it's not bad, but their self titled was MUCH better.

Although some of the riffs and stuff on Born too Late... ****ing Doom, man
