I've been to the United Kingdom, and I've been to the United States where I've tried food from both places.

There where only 2 places out of 14 or so places I went where the food was very good in the UK.

The food that I've had in the US has been far better. Even the McDonalds in the US is better.

But the question is, what do you, Pit, think is better on a general level.

Poll soon.

Edit: so my observation is as follows:

Everyone who has voted for the better food is of that country's nationality.

No one has voted for the opposite country.

However, the US has votes from people from countries outside the US.

Food is fresher in America in a lot of places IMO. However Americans eat absolute shit like that stuff they call cheese which isnt cheese as most understand it. Also hot dogs....mmmmm. Balone or however you spell it, streaky bacon...

Because of the UKs climate we cultivate a lot of green vegetables very well but stuff like tomatoes are totally tasteless here.

anyway that was my point Americans invented fast food and processed food.

The stereotype of British food is that it is disgusting, and there's a stereotype that all Americans are fat so the answer should be obvious.

I've never had British food, but I would love to try it someday.

well, it depends. In the south, where even the healthiest of foods are smothered in grease, it won't take long to get you fat. Which explains Louisiana and Mississippi the fattest place in the world.

Wisconsin cheese is the most godly delicious and pure cheese on God's green Earth.

You're thinking of California cheese. Or maybe even Vermont.

Gotta go Wisconsin.

There is good British food, but generally speaking, I can walk into a shitty bar in the US and order a hamburger that would be something that I would enjoy eating.

Likewise, when I order a hamburger from a shitty pub in the UK, it tastes differently.

I don't understand British breakfast. Beans and tomatoes don't seem right in the morning.

I'd try it though. I'm an adventurous eater.

That's why you eat Nathan's hot dogs. They're kosher, and damn tasty. Also, Sabrett hot dogs are all beef. Even the casings. And don't forget Hebrew National hot dogs. Tasty as hell.

Trust me, I eat multiple hot dogs almost every day.

Also, UG is making me ludicrously hungry tonight.

I'm not a fish fan so fish & chips doesn't do it for me, granted I love almost any other kind of sea food.

Sure but do they deep fry it? I've eaten some questionable asian food but nothing that stared back at me with two little black beady eyes.

I got fish and chips at this bar called the Shakespeare in London right off Queen Victoria, and I was disappointed. The fish was bony and covered in this weird tomato sauce and the chips weren't cooked enough.

The pizza in New York is all made by Italians. Gotta know where to go. I have yet to travel to Italy, but I imagine that once I eat the food there, I will never be able to eat anything else again.

I tried that shitty pasta bowl crap when i was over there. Not great but certainly gives you more than enough carbs!

When i was in Rome i had a Calzone with a whole fresh piece of salmon inside. Insanely good.
