I bought a macbook pro yesterday, and it came with the iLife package. I still haven't figured everything out yet. But it's lacking a Word processor and the presentation (Powerpoint) software. Is there a program specifically for mac that includes these things? I need to get one for school projects. Does Microsoft office work without having to partition the hard drive and purchasing windows?

How hard is it to google something, really? There is a mac version of office and open office for mac which is free.
Also, this is what people mean when they say mac fan boys. People who have no idea about the benefit of a mac.

Microsoft Office for Mac dude.. get the 2008 one, the 2004 one isn't compiled for the intel processors in an MBP, and ergo, runs slow as ****.

Or just get openoffice.
You're using UG classic, congratulations.
