How is this amp for building a pedal board around?

I play blues classic, and modern rock, and I'm gettig a fender mim strat.

Practice use only, and if you have better suggestions keep them price low(200ish)

200$, just to clear any misconceptions

I came up with this kick ass riff on my ukelele when I was 12. Find out two years later, it was smoke on the water. Got my hopes and dreams killed..

the vibro champ xd is versatile but its a modelling amp and wont take pedals that well. that being said tube amps with very little knobs like a valve junior tend to take pedlas pretty well. im personally thinking an ac4 would suit you. are you planning to gig?

Not anytime soon. I was scared that the ac4 would get breakup at higher levels, I like to play kinds loud, but it is 4 watts and should have pleanty of clean head room, right?

????

The whole reason to buy a low wattage amp is so it will break up and get output tube saturation.

*points to OP*

I'm not gigging, I'm building a pedal board, using a POD through it usualy. Sometimes will go dry with the amp tho.

So ac4 combo or halfstack?
