solo on "sofa" by frank Zappa live in new york

This, this hard!

I'd say the solo on "million miles away" by Rory Gallagher, the Irish Tour version, the first bend just floors me. You'd have to figure it out, but it's fairly simple, a lot of it's in the first and third (?) positions of the Dm pentatonic.

That solo is blisteringly hard. It's proof that Synyster Gates is seriously underrated as a guitarist.

Yeah cos noone talks about how great Avenged Sevonfold are, ever, you know, I think that they're not liked by all of the kids who like popular "alternative" music?

Seriously, you don't get a 13-17 year old girl with black hair who don't bum them and think that Synyster Gates is the best guitarist in the world.

Recently, Cold Sweat by Thin Lizzy.

I think the song would be so much better if it didn't have that HUGE tapping bit at the end of it, just to keep the song going.

Actually, now you mention Thin Lizzy, I'd say Baby Please Don't Go off that album. The solo at the end under the vocals is amazing.

Comfortably Numb was the solo that did this for me, hadn't had any solo do that before.

First time I heard it (about a month ago) it just stopped me in my tracks, it was like getting hit in the face by pure awesome.
