I have to record my progress of learning a song that challenges me with new techniques. I'm looking for a guitar song with the technique of hammer ons and pull offs. Preferably not a song that is too fast and from any era.
jimi hendrix - voodoo child
cliffs of dover - eric johnson?

Bodacious bob wins all.
I kind of forgot to mention that I haven't been playing for that long. 2 years experience with no teacher doesn't help me at all. It doesn't have to be hard because it's the practice journal that gains the marks, the end performance is only something like 1/4 of the marks.

That iron maiden song is a bit too easy if that helps you at all with how "advanced" i am?

Try Zach's Song from the Jack Black movie School Of Rock. It has two fairly-impressive-without-being-insanely-difficult solos and if a pre-teen kid can pull it off, you can too, right?
you got a deathwish johnny truant or mouths like sidewinder missiles by The fall of troy.
have fun!
