I'm curious. Oh, and rubbing a pick against the strings does not count, the sound has to be made by strumming.

Minor 2nd. A minor second played anywhere sounds bad.

raking the strings really hard while palm muting with your left hand
If a mortal stands before us
Strike him down with sleight of hand.
And if heaven rides against us
Then God himself must be damned.

I don't even need to pick up my guitar to know that'll sound dissonant. You've got an Eb and and and E and an F playing at the same time.

take a finger nail clipper and hang it so the thin part goes down into the soundhole and the thick part hangs down over the strings. Poor mans prepared guitar.

Seriously... What a pointless thread.

Are you sure you're not from the pit??

(Btw, Any augmented and minor 2nds)

That's one of my favorite chords.

I can get some ugly sounds by playing a 'prepared guitar'. I'll put thick paper and playing cards inbetween the strings near the saddle, then do a weird jazz/avant-garde chord thing. Pretty awesome actually.

what's with all the minor second hate?

That interval on it's own sounds horrible but in combination with other ones can sound blissful.

Prepared guitar would probably sound cool...assuming you prepared it right. But I think that a chord held down too weakly so that it creates a lot of buzzing sounds bad though.
