Which Line 6 Spider is the one that's sort of a meme here? One of my friends is trying to convince me that the Line 6 Spider he just bought was like, a good new version. So which one is it?

The bandwagon is against the III model.

But we aren't exactly a fan of the IV model either.

Probably the IV. I've never played through a Spider, so I have no opinion on them.

It's against the Spider III. I've heard the IV was quite a bit better but I haven't played it. I have played the Spider III and while it's not great, it doesn't deserve all the crap it gets

They all suck. Except the one with tubes in it, that one sounds great for practicing.

Was there ever a Spider I????

I actually owned a Spider II for a while, so I know they exist...... but was there ever actually a plain, old "Spider?"

For a practice the spider really ain't that bad, granted they do get frustrating after you get better cause they are hard to get an exact sound from them, I'd look for a used flextone as well as it's a much better sounding amp

Vypyr > Spider

That being said, I believe the one we talk about so much on here is the Spider III. To think, a few years ago when I knew nothing I wanted one... -_-
