Why is there so much hate for marshall mg amps on this forum? I personally love the sound i get out of them. yesterday at my guitar store i played an epiphone limited ed. sg on a marshall mg50 and it sounded awesome but maybe its just because i like acdc. But i dont see anything wrong with the amps, so why does everybody hate them?

dude dont bring those in here...

but for the record marshall has made the mg series more tollerable, but theyre still the same old sh*it we all hate.

and how long have you been playing? has your ear for tone opened yet?

expect this to cloes ASAP.

Eh. They sound all right. I wouldn't buy one, though, and also they're apparently overpriced.

which model MG was it?

the hate originates from the older MGs which were abysmal in every possible way.

the newer models (have the suffix "FX" as opposed to "DFX") are actually reasonable amplifiers, unfortunately they were tarred with the same brush before they even hit the shelves and people on UG are just too stubborn to accept that they aren't bad amps anymore. everyone loves to hate something made by a popular brand
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.
