Yes, I realise the title could be misinterpreted, but let's not get nasty.

Obviously people in the metal forum listen to metal but I was wondering if any of you listens to something not metal at all, and which is non-metal related.

For example: I have a weakness for cheesy 80's music like Journey, Men At Work and Duran Duran, because of the catchy rythms and chorus'. Great singalong stuff.
I also genuiently enjoy the Swedish soft rock band Kent and The Red Army Choir.

So I ask: What's your secret desires? (Yes, that was meant to be cheesy)

I don't have musical "secret desires"...I'm not ashamed of anything I listen to.
This thread is dildos, your spurring up non metal discussion in the metal forum

Fair enough. Not actually saying that it's music people should be ashamed off.
It was more a way to hear if anyone had any "unconventional" inspirations to their metal music.

But hey, what do I know. The thread could still be fail

Today ppl seem angry on UG's forum... Asking for inspiration for metal music in the metal forum is "dildos" ? (The heck is that?) Anyways... I listen just about anything, altho im really diggin bossa nova lately, it rocks

Edit: I did some homework. dildo means something like comforting or consolatory

i like quite alot of indie like arctic monkeys, bloc party and editors. i also like quite alot of experimental dancey stuff like speedy j and squarepusher. moby, ALOT of punk but i dont think that really counts, hadouken!, sum 41, blink 182. apart from that though its mostly just metal

I used to listen to a lot of Sum 41 and Blink 182. Back in comprehensive school.
Would honestly never listen to it anymore, but I still know all the lyrics for "I Miss You" by Blink 182.

Bossa Nova is nice actually. Very no stress-ish and cool
