Hi, I've been playing guitar for 1 year and my friend thinks I play waay better than him.
(He has been playing for 3-4 years.)
And in that thought he pulverized all his YouTube videos!
Did he do something wrong? Or do I really rock bigtime?
Your call!
Here is a link. Here.

Seemed pretty average to me. If your friend couldn't play better than that after ~4 years, he was doing something wrong.

Very average indeed. It lacks soul.

too robotic, lacks individuality, stop trying to be jimi (your not and never will be)be yourself, jimi`s songs allow alot of freedom to express your own ideas, start off by being alot more relaxed, in terms of hitting the right notes and playing in time...congrats.

sry if constructive criticism hurts.

Probably not - he's playing guitar for fun, aye?

Or do I really rock bigtime?

No, not really. Get rid of the attitude, and get your bends in tune and seriously work on your vibrato. If guitar is a competition, you already lost (and could never win). It's just fun. Get over yourself, and work harder.
