I'm looking for a new amp around Christmas time, but I wanna get some suggestions now so I can start looking.

I'm looking at about $1000 or so, maybe a little bit higher, but I'm definitely buying used. I play mostly old school screamo stuff and shoegazey experimental stuff.

-Needs to take pedals well.
-Needs to have really chimey nice clean.
-One channel would be best.

Suggestions? Thanks guys.

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.

Why a Rebel 20? Seems kinda like overkill and surely I could get an amp more defined for what I want? I don't need it to be that versatile with two different tube types, haha.

I don't know if I could get a Vox doing screamo...

As far as I'm aware... the Rebel 20 fits these nicely

Alternatively...

Vox AC4?
Orange AD5?

Its now a case of me not being able to think of other single channel amps.

Although I'd admit... right now I'm thinking of a Matchless.

I'm going to have to say Rebel 20. Even though I am biased, I tried out tons of amps in the price range and for what you play, the Rebel seems to fit the bill.

-Gibson LP VM
-Silvertone Kentucky Blue
-MXR CC Delay
-Ibanez TS-9
-Egnater Rebel 20
-Avatar 1x12

My rig is simple
Haha. UG's Chuck just said chuck. haha
You're not truly playing guitar unless you know theory.
