That is not so easy considering the quality of PRS guitars, what does a custom 24 cost where you are ? If you save your money and get the PRS you will not be disappointed believe me. I have a single cut satin trem that is amazing. They are worth saving for, so when you get it be sure to post some pic´s.

About the same price as a small car.

TS You might have a shitload more luck going with a CE model that is second hand their was one for sale at music swop shop for only $2000 but when I checked for you it was gone unfortunately

Like azn_guitarist25 said a PRS CE will get you most of the PRS tone and feel with only a little less prestige. I own one and it's an absolutely amazing guitar. Should be able to track down a used one for about your price range

Carvin makes some guitars that are similar to PRS Customs.

http://www.carvinguitars.com/customshopelectricguitars.php

They start about 3 guitars down the page, plus they all have a great host options to configure them with (Carvin is something of a semi-custom shop if you are not familiar with them). $1500 - $2000 AUD could net you a pretty nice one too. You can also always look for a used PRS as well.

I'm not to familiar with the cost on importing a guitar from the US but I think you'd do well to go with a guitar from there and import it due to the current exchange rate. Looking at those SEs from the Australian store your paying at least double what they pay in the states, hell in even here in Canada.

I've got a PRS SE Singlecut and enjoy playing it alot with its low playing action.

and his website

personally i haven't played them, but this guy knows his sh!t and i wouldnt be surprised at all if this guitar was 2 times the guitar your PRS is.

Doubleneck Dragon or Nissan GTR hmmmm hard choice. Jeez that thing must cost an arm and leg and a kidney in real life though, wonder how many people have actually bought one.
