This might have been done before but the thread is probably ages old, so it would be kind of bad to ressurect it.

So has anyone ever had a reocurring dream? I had one last night, it was just like another dream i had recently, except a little different, if you are interested in what it was, then i will edit it in here, but i'm not gonna put it in here if people are just gonna go "cool story bro" or "it means you are gay".

I decided to edit the dream in as people are suprisingly giving serious answers, here goes.

In the first dream, i was walking down a street at night, there was a house that i am sure i have seen in real life, and in the dream there was something not quite right about it, i can't remember exactly what it was about it but it didn't seem normal. In the second dream, i was walking down the same street again, and saw the same house, but this time it was on fire, and there were alot of other things on fire as well, there were other parts that i have dreamt of before but i can't remember what exactly.
WHOMP

Think of that next time you are not allowed to laugh.

I have one where I can't move, and because of this bad stuff happens in the dream that I can't stop :S
Action. Reaction. Like an eye for an eye from our tribal days.

Yeah, probably, I can't really remember any of my dreams. I haven't had any recurring dreams for ages.

Edit: brb, gonna grab Jung books

Once I had a dream that I was approached by a group people around 14-16 and they were begging to fight when me and at that point the dream becomes a lucid I get a sword from nowhere ... and justice for all.

I was going to ask this anyways so....

Do the dreams show your inner feeling and/or desires?

Or the dreams are a true interpretation of the reality by the subconscious?

What does the Pit think?

Yeah, in a way. You can see how:

I have one where I can't move, and because of this bad stuff happens in the dream that I can't stop

Might mean that SJR's frustrated at his lack of control over his life, thinks that he is responsible for keeping order, whatever.

Yeah, I haven't had this dream recently, but I used to always get it:

I don't know how or why, but the whole dream I imagined living in a VERY big, tall mansion or something and at the top is this vampire (or something) and the whole dream was fearing the vampire, who was sitting on his throne in the top room that appeared to be empty. I was down about 15 flights of stairways, and while he knew I was there, he didn't do anything. I don't know if I was supposed to be there. The dream was fear of making myself go up the stairs to see the vampire, thinking he would kill me, but it never happened...

Another dream which that has made me think about (I think I always got it straight after first dream, to be honest...) is going to my Grandma's house, running from everybody in there and hiding in a secret flap under the wooden floor, that, when inside, was the size of big square piping around a building... the whole dream was about being feared of being caught, for some reason... even though everybody was searching in that same room above me... good times lol.

Another dream I used to always have was it was like a completely white room that looks 3D, or just a very tight hole underneath something that you know you will NEVER get out of while being chased or basically just there to feel stuck forever as it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to leave it... I hated that.

Of course I have those falling, being chased but moving very slowly while they are miles behind but moving at a faster speed with a feeling of an invisible barrier making us keep our distance... lol.

Damn, imagine if sometime you actually get caught, and you get your head chainsawed off...
This will start a RIOT! in me

I've had recurring dreams many times.

I also seem to suddenly realize in a lot of my dreams "hey, I am dreaming, doesn't matter what happens or what I do", and thus proceed to do... various things that you'd normally not do in public

Not exactly recurring but I usually have dreams where I'm stuck on a beach or looking down from a cliff (or some other ledge) trying not to fall into really stormy seas. I also have a lot of falling ones where I hit the ground and wake up with my heart pounding.

I tend to have recurring locations in my dreams, I had a couple of dreams a week or so apart not too long ago set in the same church courtyard though first time it was next to a cliff the other it was in a town. The time it was next to a cliff there was some hooded figure on top of it throwing fireballs at anyone below and the time in the city I was inside the church with the hooded figure and he "revealed" (he didnt speak) to me that he was death and was brining death to all mankind and that I had no power to stop him then I ran out into that same church courtyard screaming.

but meh, I never try to make sense of my dreams, there's too many meanings you can get from them.
Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom
Remember us - if at all - not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men.

When I was young I had reocurring nightmares all the time. I learned how to "conciously" dream, and after that I haven't been able to remember dreams in a really long time...

I have a number of recurring dreams, one where i'm running through a very complex trainyard, trying to jump out of the way of the constant incoming trains; i think it is related to my general fears and anxieties in life. A recent one that i've had a lot lately, is where i have the ability to 'phase' through walls a la Kitty Pryde of the X-men, it's actually pretty cool, i always think i'm going to get stuck in the wall, but i never do.

I used to get floating or flying dreams a lot, not so much recently that i can remember, i also have dreams where i literally go insane, and ones where all my teeth crack and fall out. Those are scary, the insanity ones, i mean, it usually takes me a couple of hours to fully get over it, because they're so real, they seem more real than real life itself when i first wake up. I've been on a lot of meds for a while though, one of them gives me lucid dreams, the other ones give me nightmares, so the two combined, well, you can put it together...
I also have a lot of dreams where i'm fighting someone or something (usually just people but sometimes zombie-type things), and i get very physical (ie. thrash about in my bed). I also get Sleep Paralysis- that's really freaky, look it up.
I did not get my Spaghetti-O's, I got spaghetti. I want the press to know this.

It's quite odd, you see: Every now and than, I'll have a seemingly random dream that involves some one I know. These people don't really have to be my good friends or family, they can just be some one I'm modarately cool with, or someone I haven't seen in forever. With in a week after these dreams, I almost always see the person out around town, it's quite surreal.

Gigantic Pink Flamingoes destroying the world.
Currently, in my series of dreams, they are at the garbage dump. I do not know why yet. Must find out ASAP.
Goodnight.

I dreamed of a genie with a ten foot weenie and showed it to the neighbor next door
she thought it was a snake so hit it with a rake now it's only 2 foot 4. I learned that shit in elementary and still remember it wtf?
