I have a humbucker pickup with a Gibson USA engraved in the bottom. Is there any way to know what pickup this is? I don't see any other markings. Thanks for your time.

It's just the pickup. I bought an Aria (japan) from this guy and he gave me the pickup for free. I can't figure out what it is though

Measure its DC resistance, if you can.

If it's between 7.5 and 8.5 k, it might be a '57 style PAF (although probably from 1957)
If it's higher, it might be a 490r or 498t.

Does the pickup have a cover?

No cover. It has the 6 adjustable screws and the matching 6 non adjustable ones. It's all black and has 4 wires (red, white, green, black).

Ok Heres a link, I'm not sure what to look for, hopefully this helps. The DC resistance will have to wait till the weekend.

It'd be nice if Gibson would have just put a number on it.... Ok well I guess I'll take it in to the local shop here and see what happens. if it is a 490/498/500, what model is it?
