Is it possible to get banned, or a warning from a report you made.
For example:
Just a few seconds ago, I reported a thread, which was advertising getting money through the internet, so I reported, and In the report, I said:
"ADS!
Some retard is advertising getting money online, but we all know it doesn't work!"

So, Is this a bannable/warnable offence?

Ok, I'm a bit on edge of being banned. I've almost got my second warning... And now is the worst time to be banned, with everything I'm doing that's guitar related, other than playing.

EDIT: Now that that's all sorted out... How about if I were to be very offensive to mods in a report?
Worst-Case Scenario:I posted porn, and links to porn in a report.

I'd think it's only bannable/warnable if you're on the receiving end of such a report.
Q: Favourite Pink Floyd song?
A: The one where they get wicked high and play Emin and A for an hour.

in a report you just say why you are reporting them, there really shouldnt be a way to accidentally get banned.

You'd be amazed at what I can do.
I also edited my second post. So, read it?

Oh, wait,
I'll copy and paste:

Don't be so offensive in your report. Just put "spam" or something along those lines. If a thread is being reported (and you have to put something in the report as to why you're reporting it), I'm sure the mods will check it out and decide for themselves if it's spam or something else that causes a thread to be closed.

So K.I.S.S in your reports. And don't put something like "[insert_name] is being a big stupid poopie head and I hate him" as your cause for report.

then your an idiot that deserves to be banned. why the hell would you post porn or be offensive to a mod in a report? if you have severe online tourettes then just dont report, someone else will do it.

Dude, it ain't that hard to just say "Spam", "Ad", "Banned thread", "Porn", or anything else along those lines in your report.

I agree with everything in this post other than the grammar.

Just the lack of capital letters? Or something major I should be ashamed of?

Edit: Eugh, and lack of apostrophes and misuse of 'your'.

You don't need a long explanation for your report anyways, for example quoting what somebody said would be unnecessary. One or two words (ie. spam, advertising, flaming) is usually enough, because the mod is going to look at the thread either way and they'll see the details when they do.

The only plausible way that I can think of where you may receive a warning due to reporting is if you make a habit of reporting threads long after they've been reported already, and of course that would be up to the mods discretion.

I think I reported the thread after someone else reported it...

For the guy that didn't use capitals,
If you have Microsoft Word( one of the newer versions) It has an auto capitalize feature. Just copy and paste in your post, then hilight the text, and click the capitalize key.
There's a great tool, you don't have to use it though.

Yes. That could get you banned.

You don't "post" a report. You send a report and post *reported* on the thread. NEVER quote the porn or porn link in your post on the thread. That would make more post that the Mods will need to edited garbage out of.

You could include the link to the porn that the user posted on the thread. But why would you? The thread speaks for itself. If you feel you must include the link in the report, be sure to say that the link is the one the person posting porn used in the thread. That way, there are no surprises.

If it was immediately after, no problem.

If it was long after, big problem.

One report is all that's necessary. After that, it's just clutter. And posting *reported* on the thread bumps it. If you do this within the first 2 minutes of the initial report, you may have been typing while the other guy was posting. This is the grace period that is usually allowed for an overlap. Any longer than that and you are in serious danger of getting a warning or ban.

I'm sure getting banned from here is not going to be the worst thing to happen and if it is I feel sorry for you. Just go somewhere else.
