Ok so at them moment I have a Roland Cube 60, it's loud enough but I don't like the the tone. I play mostly Metal like Killswitch Engage, Trivium, metallica. I also play Stuff like Steve Vai and Joe satriani - I probably play this style the most but being 'brutal' is still a priority. And I play some stuff like RHCP.

I'm willing to spend about £500

I've been looking at the Peavey 6505 + and it sounds great high gain but I heard the cleans suck, are they really that bad or will they do for abit of RHCP every now and then? And is it too loud to practice with? How does it sound at low volumes?

Any other amp suggestions? Thanks

It will sound fine at low volumes, but it won't do chili peppers though, but metal and rock will be wonderful.

It dosen't quite do metal unless you have a boost though.
