i was just playing in my room when suddenly the volume knob of my telecaster got off i tried to put it back to his place but it doesn't fit correctly, is loose

somebody know how i can put this back together??

The post of the pot will be split into two parts. You need to find a way to push them apart a bit more, so that the knob fits snugly around them.

sometimes on a tele, there'a a little screw. if you see a hole on the side of the knob, that will lock the knob on.

in all seriousness though, just screw it back on, or it probably is one with a hole for a pin in it like jj said.
