When your Buying a Dean make sure you use Duncan Pu´s.....

Many of my friends bought ML79s or V79 and put the Dimebucker and the BillLawrence L-500XLB in...

Still i didn´t play this Guitar since i can not find it in any Music-store in Germany!!!

Its better to change the Pu´s on this Guitar!!

The thing that makes cheap deans bad is usually not the pickups, its usually the build quality of the guitar.

But EMG's would give you a much better tone than putting passives in there since basswood doest resonate very well. At least not to my likeing.

In my honest Opinion you should lay off the hands of that Razorback!!
If you want a good Guitar from dean go for the 79 Series!!
The Razorbacks only start to feel well in the 1000-2000 Dollar Range!

The 79 ML or V Standarts feel almost the same with changed pickups!

Its just 100 € so you should sum up some more and get the 79ML and the pickups!

I often play the 79ML from my Rythm Guitarist (he uses a RR3 now) since i dont have the money to buy a great Guitar yet!! The Pickups arent as powerfull as the Dimebucker + the BL. But they do well for Rock!

*still saving up Money*

(If you want a good Guitar with Emgs ? you might check the Jackson DK2MG)
