I was recently looking at some tube amps and I landed on the Peavey Vypyr Tube Amps. I was just wondering, is this amp any good? How are the features, does it sound good, and does it take stompboxes/pedals well?

1) Features are great, and its also updatable
2)the amp models are better than the SS Vypyr's because it give a "tube feeling"
3) it wont take pedals well because its a modelling amp

Actually, a friend of mine uses a distortion pedal into his Vypyr 15 (no Sanpera footswitch option for that one) and I think it sounds fine.

That said, a modeling amp won't take pedals as well as a tube amp.
