I'm a avid Guitar Pro fan, but I'm looking for something I can use to scan in sheet music that I have, and then save it into an electronic format such as GP, PT, MIDI, etc. I did a search and there seems to be lots of options, some more expensive then others. Anyone have any recommendations? It doesn't necessarily have to be free, but I'm not interested in spending a large amount of money because I already have GP and it meets all my other needs.

The newer versions of Finale are capable of doing that. They are not cheap at all, but you do get what you pay for.

Does it need an iLok? If not, your set!

I use photoscore. you can find it on a torrent site and the trial comes with sibelius. It hasn't given me any problems.
