I'm using a website that generates exercises for you randomly, you pick what scale and what key and it spits them out. I'm assuming these are meant to be played in E standard, and I prefer D standard. If I play the scales they give me in D instead of E, are they still correct and the name just one step down? Or does it screw up the intervals?

If you play them in D standard, the exercise will still work, and sound nearly the same, it will just be in a different key (1 whole step down).

That's what I thought.
Thanks
